Our three wedding venues near Schwäbisch Gmünd
We offer three different locations for weddings, with space for 30 to 130 people. From the rustic charm of the old barn to the modern workshop or the large “Kuhstall” hall - there is the right atmosphere for every celebration. All rooms are technically well equipped and offer a projector, screen and microphone as well as special details such as a stretch tent in the garden or children's play areas. Buildings can also be combined for special events. Free wedding ceremonies, for example, take place in winter by the open fire in the workshop, before dinner and celebrations are held in the former cowshed.

50-130 people can be accommodated in our largest location with conservatory. You can also celebrate under the stretch tent in the large garden while the children let off steam in the sandpit with play hut.
The workshop
For 50-90 people, with high ceilings, wooden furnishings and a covered outdoor seating area, the Werkstatt is our medium-sized location. For an outdoor wedding ceremony, it offers a stretch tent on the green meadow in the garden.
The “old” barn
Are you dreaming of a real barn wedding? Then our “old” barn will inspire you. In the original atmosphere, 30-50 wedding guests can feel at home here. A children's playroom offers variety for younger guests. On warm summer evenings you can enjoy the menu in the herb garden.

With a wedding at the Scheunenwirtin, you can look forward to numerous inclusive services that will make your special day perfect. From the culinary reception to the room decorations - we make sure that you and your guests are well looked after:

Culinary enjoyment of organic quality is a top priority at our Demeter Hofgut. Our top organic chef will conjure up a surprise menu that will delight your guests. From the preparation of the hall with wood-fired bread and lovingly arranged guest gifts to the presentation of the wedding cake and dessert buffet, everything has been thought through down to the last detail. The selection of drinks, from fine wines to creative cocktails, rounds off the culinary experience.
We also love vegan cuisine. We always take your food exclusions and special diets into account when putting together the menu.
Possible schedule for your wedding weekend
Your wedding day with us could go like this: Get in the mood the day before with a cozy get-together. The big day begins with breakfast, followed by a romantic wedding ceremony in the garden or in a marquee. During the reception, you will receive congratulations and enjoy your first time together with your guests over crémant and culinary highlights. The wood-fired oven menu in the evening is the festive highlight before you open the dance floor and celebrate late into the night. The following morning, a leisurely breakfast or a late check-out with a visit to the sauna will ensure a relaxing end to the day.

Wedding specials: Night wedding and winter wedding
Are you looking for an extraordinary wedding ceremony? A night wedding ceremony under a sea of candles and fairy lights will turn your celebration into a special experience. After a festive 3-course menu, you can say “I do” in our marquee and then open up the dance floor.
Or opt for a fairytale winter wedding in the Swabian Alb: glistening snow, a wedding ceremony by the fireplace in the workshop and a reception with mulled wine and punch create an incomparable atmosphere.
Child-friendly highlights for your wedding at the Hofgut
Families with children feel particularly at home with us. A sandpit, a play hut and child-friendly facilities such as changing tables make the stay pleasant for the little ones. During the party, the children can let off steam in the play areas while the parents enjoy the party.

To ensure that your big day runs smoothly, we attach particular importance to professional planning and organization. The boss will accompany you from the first visit to the wedding planning to the last item on the program. During the celebration, our service team will be at your side with great commitment and warmth. Loving details such as the floral decorations, which Steffi will design according to your ideas, and the perfectly prepared ambience by the housekeeping team will make the day perfect all round. We are also happy to recommend suitable service providers - from photographers to DJs.

After the appointment, we will send you our wedding calculator, which you can use to calculate the costs for your celebration in advance.
