We have a colorful mixed flock of chickens on our farm. They are predominantly old dual-purpose breeds, including breeds that are extremely endangered, such as Augsburg chickens or barred Dominiques. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

When it comes to laying performance, they are indeed not top athletes, but they are very robust and almost never get sick. Contrary to popular belief, chickens are anything but dumb. Our chickens may not lay the greatest number of eggs, but they are certainly the best eggs we can provide. No egg, not even a purchased Demeter egg, has shown these qualities so far. That’s why they have become a popular product among connoisseurs in the HofGut Shop. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We usually hatch the eggs on the farm. Raising the roosters to slaughter maturity is a matter of course for us. That’s why we welcome and support the commitment of the Bruderhahn Initiative.
